Does waxing hurt?
Yes -but only for 7-10 seconds.
Most clients say the anticipation is worse than the actual wax. The first appointment is always the most intense, and it gets significantly easier as the hair grows back softer and finer.
How long does my hair need to be?
Hair should be about the length of a grain of rice (F2-3
weeks of growth). Too short = the wax can't grab it

How long will my wax last?
Most clients stay smooth for 3-5 weeks depending on growth cycle and consistency.
Waxing regularly trains the follicle for slower + thinner regrowth.
What areas are included in a Brazilian wax?
Front, labia, and booty strip - everything removed (unless you want to leave a strip or triangle).
What should I do before my appointment?
• Gently exfoliate 24 hrs before
• Avoid lotion or oils
• Wear loose clothing
•Take ibuprofen ibuprofen mins before if you're sensitive (optional)
What should I NOT do after my wax?
For 24 hours avoid:
• Gym / sweating
• Sex
• Tanning
• Tight clothing
• Hot tubs / baths
Will I get ingrown hairs?
They can happen - but they're preventable.Start exfoliating 2-3 days after your wax and moisturize daily.Aftercare products are available for purchase in The Dens.
Can I wax on my period?
Yes! Just wear a tampon or menstrual cup.You may be slightly more sensitive, but totally safe to wax.Taking an Ibuprofen 30 minutes beforehand can alleviate some sensitivities.
What if I need to cancel last minute?
It happens! Please let us know ASAP, and email appointments@thebeaverbarber.com.

If there is not a time listed on our website, we are fully booked. We HIGHLY encourage pre-booking your appointments with us. This secures your time slot immediately.
How does the waitlist work?
After adding yourself to our waitlist, our system scans your availability and will automatically add you an appointment that fit your requests.
What happens if I no-call/no-show?
Yikes, girly. We are very understanding as waxers and human beings. But, not sending us a message or alerting us in any way will get you banned from booking.
Do I need to fill out my paperwork for EVERY appointment?
Yes. A lot can change in a month and your overall well-being is extremely important to us. We need to be updated regularly on any changes that may occur and can impact your wax.
What do I do when I arrive to my appointment?
Our waiting lounge is fully stocked with hygiene products to freshen up, refreshments to drink and snack, cozy seating, and good vibes. Please sit and enjoy the space while we prepare for your appointment!
